How does artificial intelligence shape science and society’s engagement with knowledge, understanding, and epistemic practices? We look forward to stimulating presentations and discussions at our networking meeting AI & WiHo on 28 November 2025. The workshop brings together projects funded under the BMFTR funding line “Early Career and Research Groups in Science and Higher Education Research.” It is the first networking meeting of this funding line and is organized by the KIWIT Group.

Interdisciplinary perspectives will be presented by the invited speakers Sascha Dickel (Media Sociology and Social Theory, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz), Ernst Reinking (Business Informatics, Digitalization and AI, NBS Hamburg), Rudolf Stichweh (Sociology of Science and Social Theory, Universities of Bonn and Lucerne), Marcel Schütz (Organizational Research, NBS Hamburg and University of Oldenburg), and Klaus Mainzer (Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence, Technical University of Munich and University of Tübingen).

Following the event, the contributions will be available online. The program can be accessed, listened to, and viewed on this website as well as via YouTube and LinkedIn.
